A Fantastic Year for Brazil

The year 2009 is rounding up and only a few days are left from a year marked by heavy financial crises, bankruptcies and a market in general turbulence. But Brazil has shown that a new player has emerged on the world map and is here to stay and dominate.

Brazil was one of the first countries to get out of the economic crises this year and shows continuous growth and stability. This year was also a great year for the Brazilian people achieving  two of the worlds most famous sports events namely the FIFA World Cup that will be held in 2014 and the International Summer Olympics in 2016 held in Rio de Janeiro.

Huge investments will be made to secure good infrastructure and security.

In Fortaleza we experience a great job done by our newly elected governor Mr. Cid Ferreira Gomes many new constructions sites are well under way both roads and hospitals are being built and reformed and I think that many with me are delighted to have such a productive and progressive governor.

Real Estate business in Fortaleza is growing at good pace and we have several constructions completed such as Kariri Beach Residence in Cumbuco that is now awaiting the X-mas and New Year festivities and the hotel is full.

The Aquiraz Riviera has now 4 golf lanes open and golf lovers finally have a place to go in Fortaleza to play golf. The future golf course at Aquiraz Rivera will have 18 holes 72 par 7322 yards. A 355 yards driving range and 1300 square meter putting green. The golf course is open between 08:30 to 17:30 with last tee off at 15:00

Fortaleza a growing real estate market

In the first quarter of the year, the industry handled $ 426.4 million with 1,967 buildings sold

Sales and property launches in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza (RMF) remain heated. From January to April this year, the industry handled $ 426.4 million, growth of 31.97% against the same period last year, when they were negotiated $ 323.1 million, according to the Association of Housing and Association of Administradoras of Buildings of Ceará (Secovi / AADIC). Two other highlights this year are Cambeba on 3 rd and Monte Castelo (2) among the five districts with higher sales, with 228 and 303 units respectively.

Brazil likely to attract foreign investors

Brazil is likely to attract more interest from foreign property buyers in the near future, an expert has predicted.

According to Richard Way, editor of A Place in the Sun Magazine, the country is set to host the Fifa World Cup in 2014.

This, he said, will “certainly” have an impact on its property market, as new infrastructure will have to be created.

For example, the largest airport in South America is set to open in Natal next year, while David Beckham’s World of Sport complex is already up and running in the area.

Mr Way believes this will boost both the desirability and the value of property in north-east Brazil.

The 2014 World Cup will mark the second time that the country has hosted the football tournament.

Brazil is also in the running to host the Olympic Games two years later.
