She said about the importance of checking how easy it will be to let out an empty second home during busy tourism seasons. The expert has suggested checking balance of supply and demand in any given market as this will be a key way of determining whether the price of a property will rise or fall. She wanted to assert the importance of assessing whether the potential rental income outweighs the costs of buying the property.

Meanwhile, Kate Stinchcombe-Gillies, head of communications at holidaylettings.co.uk said that more long-standing second home owners have also come to appreciate the intrinsic value in their second home. The key destinations for people considering buying a second home for this purpose are those with long seasons or year-round appeal, as well as environments with a low level of competition.

In related news, the inquiries for summer holidays in Brazil has increased 43 per cent between April and May, which could show a high degree of demand for Brazilian property that is put up as rental accommodations.

A Fantastic Year for Brazil

The year 2009 is rounding up and only a few days are left from a year marked by heavy financial crises, bankruptcies and a market in general turbulence. But Brazil has shown that a new player has emerged on the world map and is here to stay and dominate.

Brazil was one of the first countries to get out of the economic crises this year and shows continuous growth and stability. This year was also a great year for the Brazilian people achieving  two of the worlds most famous sports events namely the FIFA World Cup that will be held in 2014 and the International Summer Olympics in 2016 held in Rio de Janeiro.
